  • Responsibilities

    The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and shipping materials and products. This role ensures inventory accuracy, timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, and compliance with company procedures and safety standards. Receiving • Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders. • Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies. • Enter receipt transactions into the ERP system. • Label and store materials in designated warehouse locations. • Coordinate with Purchasing and Quality departments on non-conforming materials. Shipping • Prepare customer orders for shipment. • Package products according to company and carrier requirements. • Coordinate outbound shipments with the Logistics department • Verify shipment accuracy before release. **** Warehouse Operations • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. • Assist with material movement throughout the facility. • Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Qualifications: Required Skills/Abilities: • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Good organizational and time management skills. • Effective communication and teamwork skills. • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Basic understanding of inventory control principles. Education & Experience: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • 1-3 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred. • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook. • Ability to read shipping documents, packing slips, and purchase orders. • Forklift certification. Vision abilities required by this job include depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. • Ability to lift heavy materials and tools. • Ability to lift 25+ lbs. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching. • Stand for long periods of time. • Ability to work in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Compensation: $20 - $23 hourly
