    Title: Shipping & Receiving Coordinator, Junior - Intermediate

    Details:

    Status: Full-Time, Regular Salary, Exempt

    Schedule: Monday – Friday, 0830hrs – 1700hrs

    Location: On-Site; 1070 Hardees Drive, Aberdeen, MD 21001

    Supervisory: No

    Key Roles/Duties:

    Coordinate all warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping operations. Generate and manage pick tickets to support work orders for the production floor. Manage these activities utilizing our Deltek Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system

    Ensure efficient organization and accuracy of inventory by managing receiving documentation, entering stock into the ERP system, and maintaining proper labeling, systematic storage, and optimized warehouse layout

    Maintain meticulous and accurate inventory records, performing regular audits and cycle counts

    Ensure proper handling and storage practices are consistently followed to minimize damage or loss

    Coordinate with suppliers to schedule deliveries and manage raw material logistics. Handle customer returns and coordinate Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes

    Oversee identification and appropriate disposal or recycling of obsolete or excess inventory

    Manage accurate receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming goods, ensuring quality control standards are met

    Coordinate with the production team to prioritize and schedule shipments

    Coordinate timely and accurate shipping of finished goods, collaborating effectively with freight companies and carriers

    Ensure packing, labeling, shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading (BOL), packing slips and invoices) and shipping activities comply with customer and regulatory requirements (e.g., military, international, hazmat)

    Resolve shipping discrepancies and work directly with carriers, vendors, and internal teams

    Enforce compliance with safety protocols and adhere strictly to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Maryland Occupational Safety and Health (MOSH) regulations

    Enforce and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 standards

    Develop and maintain warehouse emergency response and disaster recovery procedures

    Continuously improve warehouse space utilization, workflow efficiency, accuracy, safety standards, and overall operations to reduce errors and enhance performance

    Monitor and manage warehouse operational expenses to align with budget objectives

    Manage the maintenance schedules of warehouse equipment to guarantee continuous, safe, and efficient operation

    Perform hands-on material movement using material handling equipment as needed

    Basic Qualifications:

    Three (3)+ years of demonstrated experience in an equivalent or similar role in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management

    Experience coordinating vendor and carrier logistics

    Experience managing Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes

    Demonstrated experience using an ERP system, shipping, receiving, and inventory control

    Demonstrated experience with ISO 9001:2015 or other industry-specify quality systems

    Prior supervisory or team lead experience

    Maintain highly organized and detailed records

    Ability to operate material handling equipment (i.e. forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)

    Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Certification in warehouse operations or inventory management

    Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

    Six (6)+ years of demonstrated experience in an equivalent or similar role

    Experience with ERP system, Deltek

    Experience managing emergency response planning or disaster recovery processes

    Travel:

    Minimal, local travel less than ten (10)% of the year
