    To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to be:

    • Provide direction and leadership to department colleagues consistent with plant and department business plan goals.
    • Responsible for overall coordination and communication within department.
    • Responsible for ensuring accountability and discipline within department.
    • Maintain maximum levels of production utilization and efficiency.
    • Drive and oversee corresponding root cause analysis and corrective actions.
    • Direct efforts of warehouse activities.
    • Coordinate/assess required training and team building (i.e. forklift, training, etc.).
    • Coordinate new colleague orientation.
    • Track, monitor and implement required improvement activities related to goals, issues, etc.
    • Assist in colleague development and implementation of warehouse related training.
    • Oversee the activities of the warehouse and coordinate shipping docks to effectively support plant operations.
    • Evaluate department manning levels, assuring compliance and improvements to the budget and make recommendations to the Materials Manager and HR.
    • Assure all inventory control procedures are strictly adhered to.
    • Complete individual work team performance reviews and provide mentoring, coaching and development for colleagues.
    • Coordinate the movement of all materials to and from warehouse.
    • Assure all incoming product is received from vendors and reported into QAD with correct bar code labels.
    • Assure all outgoing finished products are shipped on time to avoid premium freight costs and shipped with appropriate bar code tags.

    Required experience:

    • Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of six (6) years experience in shipping/receiving and/or warehouse management, and one (1) year of management experience.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
    • Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Strong computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
    • Root cause/problem-solving ability.
    • Familiar with Just-In-Time concept.
    • Experience in using a lift truck.
    • Understand inventory control procedures.
    • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
    • Proficient with SMART and DDL
