Shipt is a membership-based marketplace that helps people get the things they need. Our friendly shoppers handpick fresh groceries and household essentials and deliver them to members in as soon as one hour.

Internships are available starting Summer 2019 and require the ability to maintain a consistent work schedule of 20 - 40 hours per week. This is a paid internship.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Utilize Shipt technology to collect and analyze requirements, develop software used in production services, and write tests and documentation
• Learn cutting edge technologies and processes solving complex problems using modern languages and techniques
• Work on customer facing features, services, and capabilities
• Participate in the design process to build efficient, scalable, maintainable architecture
• Collect and analyze metrics to drive implementation decisions
• Design, improve and document processes
• Support your team through encouragement and by example

REQUIREMENTS

• Study in a Computer Science or other technology related field
• Coding is one of your biggest passions in life
• Familiarity with at least one scripting language
• You are interested in continually learning and mastering new skills
• You communicate complex ideas and concepts simply and concisely

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience with Python, Go, or Erlang
• Database technology experience (SQL Server)
• Experience with open source back-end technologies
• You have experience with Ruby
• Experience with Angular, React, or another front-end framework
• Experience with non-relational data storage
