    At Shipt, we are transforming the grocery shopping experience and giving time back to consumers. 

    Shipt is growing and we are searching for a Software Engineer to join our team! Shipt is a data-driven company where the data is both the lifestream and secret sauce to our success. We're looking to grow the Data Engineering team to help expand and grow our large-scale data processing platform, pipelines, and tools.

    WHAT YOU'LL GAIN

    You will get experience working with a cross-disciplinary team shipping real-world products to our customers around the nation. You will also receive hands-on mentorship from your friendly teammates on topics ranging from design to career advice

    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and scale our data processing platform and services so that we can quickly and reliably process large amounts of data
    • Work with other teams in the organization (e.g., Engineering, Catalog) to build tools and solutions that support and help manage data within the Shipt ecosystem
    • Keep the big picture in mind so that our architectural patterns can better consume and validate source data
    • Build and experiment with different tools and tech, and share your learnings with the broader organization

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Demonstrated experience with design principles involving Object-Oriented Programming
    • Demonstrated experience with systems design and architecture skills.
    • Experience developing micro-services is a plus.
    • Experience with relational (SQL) and non-relational databases is a plus.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical field.
    • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
    • Masters Degree in Computer Science or similar technical field is a plus.
    • Experience in Python, GoLang is a plus.
    • 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
