YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks
• Help the team set standards for best practices in development and testing
• Influence improvement of current testing by automating for mobile, web, API and microservices, and data testing
• Assist leads in training and developing quality engineers and analysts
• Participate in the full software development/design process
• Influence specifications and requirements
• Automate the collection of metrics to drive quality and efficiency
• Create and maintain documentation for functionality, workflow, and internal process
• Look for ways to improve the team's processes and tooling
• Work with other quality and software engineers to ensure Shipt systems are designed for reliability, performance, and testability
• Support your team through encouragement and by example

REQUIREMENTS

• You're knowledgeable about various types of software applications, cloud infrastructure and mobile technology
• You have experience automating web and mobile tests with Selenium-based tools
• You have experience automating tests for APIs and microservices
• You have experience with software development and quality best practices
• You love collaboration, attention to detail, and solving problems
• Familiar with Ruby and Go
• Familiarity with Linux and AWS
• Experience testing systems built on PostgreSQL, as well as data stores such as Redis, Dynamo, etc
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Deployment processes
• Experience with performance testing, including load, stress and failover scenarios
• BS in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
