About the Role:

Scott Sheet Metal Co Inc is looking for a skilled Shop Fabricator to join their team in Wakefield, MA! This is a hands-on opportunity to work with a dedicated crew crafting precision sheet metal components in a well-equipped shop environment. Responsibilities:

Fabricate sheet metal components, assemblies, and systems according to blueprints and shop drawings

Operate shop equipment including shears, brakes, rolls, and plasma cutters

Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal to specified dimensions

Perform welding, soldering, and fastening of metal pieces and assemblies

Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines

Requirements:

Prior experience in sheet metal fabrication or a related trade but will train the right person

Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and shop drawings

Hands-on experience with sheet metal machinery and hand tools

Basic welding and soldering skills preferred but will train the right person

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop setting

Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious work ethic
