Position Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Shop Hand to support our Service team. This role involves helping with daily maintenance, cleaning, and organization of the shop, as well as assisting experienced team members as needed. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and debris-free work area.
- Service equipment properly.
- Operate heavy machinery, such as forklifts, safely and efficiently.
- Move inventory and equipment across the facility.
- Sort, organize, and store inventory in appropriate locations.
- Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors.
- Package and label items accurately.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Assist team members in achieving daily operational goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Rental HVAC Experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction).
- Basic computer skills preferred (for timekeeping and general software).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in environments with moderate to high noise levels.
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic.
Work Environment:
- May be exposed to loud noises from equipment.
- Must wear required safety gear while on duty.
- Combination of indoor and outdoor tasks, with physical demands including standing, lifting, and operating equipment.
