Shop LC broadcasts a live Studio show on Televisions in over 75 Million US homes 24/7/365, as well as through our website and Digital channels. We currently employ over 500 Employees in our Austin office, from Warehouse and Customer Service to Merchandising, Marketing, E-commerce, Finance, Production, and HR. 

Shop LC strongly believes in giving back to our communities. Through our One for One program, Shop LC donates one nutritious meal to a school-going child in India, the US, and the UK for each item sold through all its platforms. This program has created immense engagement with our customers, team members, and communities that we operate in.

Shop LC drives about 60% of revenue from our live TV platform and 40% online.  Approximately 75% of total sales are from our Jewelry with the balance coming from Home, Apparel, Beauty, and Lifestyle products.   We ship approximately 35,000 products every single day. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Assist with reviewing and drafting contracts, including but not limited to confidentiality/nondisclosure agreements, vendor/time-brokerage/host agreements, independent contractor agreements, leases, professional services agreements.
• Assist with reviewing and providing legal advice on compliance issues relating to existing products and TV programs of Shop LC.
• Assist with maintaining company compliance with Texas Business Organizations Code.
• Working with Insurance Brokers to protect Shop LC from potential regulation checks/changes.
• Support all internal and global teams with legal and compliance queries.
• Conduct compliance checks on new products that Shop LC would sell.
• Coordinate document production and response to interrogatories on litigations and regulatory matters.
• Conduct fact-checks, legal research on product-specific laws and laws relating to advertising, retail, etc., and prepare memos for submission to senior management of Shop LC.
• Manage, track, and maintain new and current trademarks and patents, and intellectual property repository of Shop LC.
• Create and manage a centralized intake process for potential and ongoing litigations.
• Lead or assist in the preparation, implementation, and refinement of forms, processes, and procedures relevant to areas of coverage.

SKILL / EXPERIENCE 

• 4+ years of legal experience in a corporate legal department. Experience in the retail industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with commercial and transactional matters.
• Specialized knowledge of retail laws and related regulatory  processes
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to use tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, litigation support, and research tools.
• Experienced in handling intellectual property matters.
• Ability to operate independently while being a team player with a positive "can-do" attitude.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and demands and adjust to shifting priorities within a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong work ethic and sense of professionalism, demonstrating accountability, integrity, good judgment, and respect for confidentiality.
• Strong desire to learn the business and expand areas of expertise.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
