    Seeking a proficient Shop Manager and Seasoned Mechanic to become a valuable addition to our team. The perfect candidate will possess organizational skills, advanced skills in the maintenance and repair of a range of trucks, trailers, skid loaders, and small engines utilized on a daily basis within a Landscape Contractor setting. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the seamless and effective functioning of our operations. The position requires an acceptable driving record as field repairs will be needed. Location: Shakopee, MN, US Responsibilities: • Maintain a clean and organized Shop and Yard, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored. • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and make repairs on a fleet of trucks, trailers, zero-turn mowers, spray rigs, and other equipment. • Keep detailed records of maintenance performed and parts used. • Utilize new software for tracking equipment/truck/skid loader repairs. • Maintain a clean and organized Shop and Yard, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored. • Come up with a better system than currently used, for employees to place broken equipment. • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety and environmental regulations and company policies. • Communicate effectively with the management team regarding the status of vehicles and equipment. • Year-Round Work. • Trucks are mostly Ram Trucks 2019-2025, Mowers are mostly Scag and Exmark, Skid Loaders are CAT, Heavy Duty Trucks are Ford F750. • Be punctual and report to work daily. • Field repair of mowers and landscape equipment during the summer months. Trucks/Trailers as needed. • During plow events, be available in truck to service on-site skid loaders and trucks/plows in the field and fill-up skid loaders using truck bulk diesel tank. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a mechanic with a focus on both truck and trailer maintenance, skid loader, and small engine repair. • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. • Experience with hydraulics preferred (mower/skid loader/front end loader/Hook Truck) • Welding and light fabrication experience preferred. Mainly used for making repairs. • Ability to research mechanical issues on your own using the internet, product manuals, and current vendors. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Organizational Qualities in terms of shop/tool/yard organizing. • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. • Valid driver’s license. • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in automotive or small engine repair is a plus. • Plowing experience preferred, but not required. Compensation: $26 - $38 Hourly
