About the Role:
The Shop Mechanic assists with the maintenance, repair, and servicing of industrial equipment and machinery within the shop. This role works under the supervision of senior mechanics and shop leadership, learning and applying mechanical skills while ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently. The Shop Mechanic supports diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, and shop operations to help achieve company goals.
General Equipment Responsibilities:
Perform repairs and maintenance (R&M) on pumps, generators, vacuums, and filter pods.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist with diagnostics.
Stage equipment in designated areas for maintenance, repair, or deployment.
Assist other mechanics and the shop lead with all activities required.
Correctly fill out all necessary paperwork to track repairs.
Perform check-in and check-out procedures on equipment and job boxes.
Pick up parts from local vendors as needed.
Robotics and Specialized Equipment
Perform R&M on guns and robotic systems, and others as needed.
Troubleshoot robot and gun issues.
Perform check-in and check-out procedures on robotic and gun equipment.
Stage robotic and gun equipment in designated areas.
Manage designated workstations for repairs.
Perform trailer inspections and maintenance.
Shop and Office Support
Assist in the shop with all equipment needs.
Assist in inventory check-in for all job boxes after projects.
Perform job box loadouts for upcoming projects.
Pack out land and offshore orders.
When required input packages and assets into Kabal for clients.
Other Duties
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and manufacturer specifications.
Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1–3 years of experience as a mechanic or technician in an industrial, automotive, or heavy equipment environment.
Basic knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems is a plus.
Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work as part of a team.
Ability to read and understand basic technical manuals and schematics.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and reliability.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in physically demanding conditions.
Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, grease, and varying temperatures.
