Position Overview
The Shop Supervisor supports the Director of Operations ensuring the accuracy of parts received, inspected, tested and shipped to the customer in a timely manner while ensuring the quality of workmanship.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Shop Supervisor will be responsible for (but not limited to):
· Ensuring parts to be serviced are received correctly and information is entered into the system in a timely manner
· Daily planning of parts to be repaired and schedule adjustments to meet customer needs
· Ensure technicians are following defined process/procedures and working in a safe manner
· Create work orders and monitor progress on the shop floor
· Complete data entry in internal systems and customer portals
· Attend weekly management meetings and provide objective KPI data
Required Skills & Qualifications
· An understanding of ISO 9001, AS 9110, 14 CFR 145, EASA 145 or similar standards
· Two years of experience in the aviation industry
· Previous supervisor experience
· High School Diploma
· Work well under pressure with ability to meet deadlines
· Time management – The ability to complete task on time and the ability to effectively meet deadlines
· Planning – Create the daily and weekly work plan to eliminate bottle necks and ensure smooth flow of repair services
· Communication – The ability to work and communicate with all levels the organization, customers and suppliers in a business-like manner
· The ability to multitask and make changes without disrupting the workflow moving through the repair shop
· Must possess critical thinking, logic and analytical skills
· Understanding of quality and inspection practices
Preferred Skills Qualifications
· Previous experience working in a FAA 145 repair shop
· Previously held a FAA Repairman Card or A&P
· Previous forklift experience
