    Job Description

    PLEASE NOTE: THIS ROLE REQUIRES THE EMPLOYEE TO BE ON-SITE AT OUR LOCATION IN NEWNAN, GA.

    SFN has a dispersed network of fulfillment centers across the US, powered by machine learning that predicts the closest fulfillment center and optimizes inventory quantities to ensure fast, low cost delivery. We’re democratizing fulfillment for our merchants and that's why we want to bring on a Area Manager 

    WHAT YOU'LL DO: 

    • Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of hourly associates and process leads that drive the day to day operations.

    • Own all budgetary, people development and operations objectives for your respective department.

    • Own performance reporting, including on-time receiving and shipping, inventory accuracy, and packing quality for your respective department. 

    • Consistently hold the team to SLA expectations, providing clear and concise verbal and written reports of performance, and action plans when needed.

    • Actively engage with operations leadership to implement new operational improvements and new services.

    • Facilitate troubleshooting with relevant parties for warehouse related problems.

    • Serve as an escalation point for associates and leads to mitigate risks and resolve issues.

    • Measure and respond to gaps in inventory accuracy, facilitating strategic initiatives to identify root causes and resolve them; focusing on supporting the warehouse in continuous improvement activities.

    • Review error rates by process path to identify trends and expose opportunities to improve operations.

    • Track learnings and best practices to contribute to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: 

    • 3-5 years of professional experience in the supply chain, fulfillment, manufacturing leadership, e-commerce, vendor, and/or partner management.

    • 3+ years of professional experience in developing and leading teams

    • 2+ years of experience  Lean Six Sigma problem-solving methodologies such as Gemba, Daily Management, A3 Problem Solving, and Leader Standard Work

    • A successful Area Manager will be proficient at solving complex logistics and process challenges as well as possess a strong desire to move quickly and deliver results

    • Demonstrated collaboration with internal business partners to deliver greater operational performance, efficiency, and quality.

    • Precise communication around decisions, issues, risks and new processes.

    • Keen ability to distinguish internal versus external problem causes to properly focus the correct resources to resolve issues quickly.

    • Exceptional prioritization skills to ensure timely resolutions that are appropriate for the severity and impact of the situation.

    • Ability to adapt in a rapid growth, startup environment.

    • Strong problem-solving skills.

    • Strong computer literacy skills, including usage of Google Sheets/Excel.

    • Must reside near or be willing to relocate near Newnan, GA due to this being an on-site role.

     

    BONUS POINTS FOR

    • Experience working with SQL, creating and running reports.
