    Job Description

    As a member of the Employer Brand team, the Growth Marketing Manager- Employer Brand will be responsible for ideating, designing and conducting experiments across multiple digital platforms to optimize and inform our employer branding efforts globally.They will use creative, low-cost strategies to help Shopify build highly-focused talent pools and convert them into direct hires for the business, specifically with engineering and data audiences.  

    You’ll help be responsible for our talent attraction pipeline across digital platforms. We’re looking for someone with a deep knowledge of digital ad platforms that can develop, execute, analyze and optimize to drive consistent value for the business.

    You’ll join the Employer Brand Marketing team, which is a growing team of Brand Marketers and Growth Marketers. You’ll collaborate with them across a number of acquisition channels (social, media, job boards, careers) and work with them, as well as within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver best in class integrated campaigns to a worldwide audience.  

    The ability to work in a fast paced environment, think critically, problem solve, prioritize, project manage and communicate with internal and external teams will be paramount to success in this role. 

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee the strategic planning, execution and ongoing optimization of Shopify’s paid digital program for Employer Brand, including but not limited to LI, Twitter, Reddit, Twitch,YouTube and any other platform that may emerge

    • Collaborate with internal teams to improve overall social performance

    • Drive continuous team improvement and implementation of best practices through all paid channels

    • Leverage internal analytics platforms to analyze program delivery and assess market opportunities for scale/performance and feeling comfortable working with Developers/ Data Scientists when needed

    • Manage a series of 1st, 2nd and 3rd party data and segmentation initiatives in an effort to uncover and activate cross/up-sell and prospecting candidates

    • Maintain tactical roadmaps including channel budgets, acquisition targets, channel goals and milestones to achieve

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Experience in building executing paid marketing campaigns and experiments at a high-growth company or agency

    • A deep understanding of digital platforms, analytics, ad execution and analysis-based strategy building

    • Acquisition-focused paid social media experience across a number of channels

    • A proven track record in managing complex campaigns across different geographies

    • Knowledge and experience with embedding and using marketing pixels to measure performance and build audiences based on behaviours

    • The ability to learn new industries quickly and apply this knowledge to online marketing initiatives (i.e engineering audiences)

    • Knowledge of social media trends and technologies and an understanding of recent trends in the field

    • Experience using SEO

    • A self-starter mentality. You can take a concept from the ideation and research phase to the execution and analysis phase all on your own.

    • Highly data-literate

    • A strong collaborator- you thrive working across multiple teams

    • Critical thinking skills that allow you to go beyond just the numbers and assess creative assets and a user’s entire journey. Social media may be the start of a potential candidate’s journey, but beyond that click isn’t where you see your role ending

    • A willingness to work outside of your scope in order to bring alignment and better overall outcomes to the business at large

    • Experience in reaching and engaging technical audiences (Engineers, Data Scientists)
