    Job Description

    Shopify Spaces are IRL destinations, centrally located in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood and downtown Los Angeles, where local entrepreneur communities come to connect, learn and grow through a range of on-site event programming, retail activations and value-add services. 

    As Digital Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, measuring and optimizing effective digital marketing strategies to drive foot traffic to our local spaces (in addition to other marketing objectives). You will serve as the primary owner of Shopify Spaces’ web, email, SEO/SEM and paid social channels. On a project basis, you’ll also work with Shopify Spaces partners to design co-marketing plans involving partner-owned channels, talent and third-party influencers.  

    You’ll be joining a fast-growing team that works with up-and-coming brand partners to produce and market a wide range of buzzworthy experiences each month, from fashion pop-ups and creator meet-ups to celebrity brand collabs and skill-building workshops.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Develop and implement quarterly digital marketing plans across web, email, SEO/SEM and paid social to drive foot traffic to Shopify Spaces in NY and LA

    • Develop and implement project-specific marketing plans for 3-4 of our largest events each month

    • Analyze channel performance and overall plan results and present results/recommend optimizations to Spaces leadership in monthly business reviews

    • Project manage upgrades to digital marketing infrastructure (e.g. website redesign, email platform migration) in partnership with Shopify product and technology teams

    • Identify new marketing channels to test, design pilots, and report results

    • Draft paid social campaign briefs and work with paid media agencies to execute

    • Draft briefs for website content additions and work with Shopify UX teams to produce and publish assets

    • Liaise with event managers in NY and LA to source content ideas and share insights

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of digital marketing experience

    • Experience using digital marketing tactics to drive event registration and attendance

    • Experience managing websites 

    • Experience working with creative services teams to brief and produce creative/content assets

    • Experience working with/managing media agencies

    • Fluent in Google Analytics / other web analytics tools

    • Familiar with Klaviyo / Marketo / Pardot or other marketing automation tools

    • Familiar with Salesforce / Hubspot or other CRM platforms

    • Experience with basic graphic design
