    Position Summary:

    As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in extracting insights from our vast amount of operational and patient data. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze data from several practice management systems, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve operational efficiency, patient care, and overall business performance.

    You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including practice managers, dentists, and administrators, to ensure data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across all locations.

    You will be analyzing data and compiling information in a dashboard designed with management to support business decisions.

    As Divergent Dental Group is poised for growth, this position is designed for the right candidate to grow into an FP&A role within the company in the future. Great mentorship opportunities are available from an executive team having over 60 years of combined experience growing multi-state companies in multiple industries including, Dental, Healthcare, Medical Devices, and Home Design. There will be further opportunities for mentorship and growth as you collaborate with an international private equity group with over $1.3 trillion in assets under management.

    This Data Analyst position will report to the CFO and liaison with other executives, stakeholders, directors, practice managers, and doctors, as outlined in the summary and responsibilities.

    Responsibilities:

    1\. Data Collection and Management:

    • Collect, organize, and maintain large datasets from various sources, such as electronic health records, practice management systems, financial reports, and patient surveys.
    • Develop and implement robust data collection processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all locations.
    • Cleanse and validate data to identify and resolve any anomalies, inconsistencies, or missing information.

    2\. Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Conduct in-depth analysis of operational metrics, patient demographics, appointment scheduling, revenue, and expenses to identify key trends and performance indicators.
    • Develop and deliver regular reports, dashboards, and visualizations to stakeholders, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
    • Perform ad-hoc data analysis and respond to specific data requests from practice managers, dentists, and administrators.

    3\. Performance Tracking and Optimization:

    • Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for each dental location, such as patient satisfaction scores, appointment wait times, revenue per patient, and treatment acceptance rates.
    • Identify areas for improvement, efficiency gains, and cost-saving opportunities based on data analysis.
    • Collaborate with practice managers and administrators to develop and implement data-driven strategies and initiatives to enhance overall performance and patient experience.

    4\. Predictive Modeling and Forecasting:

    • Develop predictive models and forecasting algorithms to anticipate patient demand, optimize appointment scheduling, and manage resources effectively.
    • Conduct scenario analysis and simulations to evaluate the potential impact of operational changes and new initiatives on business outcomes.

    5\. Data Governance and Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, such as HIPAA, by implementing appropriate data protection measures and maintaining data security and confidentiality.
    • Establish and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and standards to maintain data integrity and accessibility.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Recent graduates and recent MBA graduates are accepted.
    • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, preferably in the dental/healthcare industry or a multi-location practice setting.
    • Proficiency in data analysis using Microsoft Excel, or programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
    • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create compelling reports and dashboards is a plus.
    • Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and predictive modeling.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of dental practice management systems especially Jarvis Analytics, Open Dental, Eaglesoft, and DSN is a plus.
