Shore Power Inc. is a global distributor of portable power products. We run multiple e-commerce platforms geared towards both B2B and B2C customers and are looking to expand our Marketing team to meet the websites’ growing demands. We are looking for a bright, energetic individual willing to work hard and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. Copywriting is an essential component of this job. The ideal candidate will write original, exciting marketing copy that meets basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) guidelines. The development and maintenance of the sites’ architecture and UX interface are also essential to the Digital Marketing Associate’s role.

Applicants must be able to effectively engage target audiences. An ideal candidate would be a team-oriented person who is both skilled and imaginative in their writing and possesses a keen awareness of details. S/he should also be a quick learner, able to grasp project requirements rapidly and offer valuable insights concisely. In addition to writing high-quality copy, the ideal candidate will be able to analyze website traffic and made informed decisions on future landing page development and copywriting projects. Finally, s/he will be able to attend to multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing projects, and meeting deadlines and goals effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Copywriting – develop and deliver e-commerce copy, including product descriptions, email content, banner ads, and more
• Researching customer behavior and applying newly found knowledge towards the development and creation of new content pages
• Learning, demonstrating, and using best practices regarding HTML5 and CSS3 guidelines
• Social media marketing for businesses (Facebook, Google+, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
• Video production - write, produce, and edit brief product demonstrations
• Product photography and photo manipulation
• Backlink development and management
• Monitoring and generating monthly reports of web rankings, organic traffic, and product performance

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A keen interest in Direct Marketing and Online Marketing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Consistent ability to write clear, concise yet informative copy
• PC literacy including Microsoft Office, basic HTML, Photoshop
• High comfort level with software and technology in general
• Bachelor's degree preferred (not required), concentration in Business, Marketing or Communications a plus
• Positive attitude and strong work ethics, ability to multi-task is a must
• Willingness to learn
• Attention to detail
• Manage time effectively
• Experience with Magento a major plus
• Experience selling products, at a large scale, on eBay and/or Amazon, a major plus
