Temporary Full-Time Nanny – Yachats, Oregon (Through Mid-March 2026)
Location: Yachats, Oregon (Oregon Coast)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (36 guaranteed hours per week)
Compensation: $30–$32/hour
Start Date: ASAP
Commitment: Temporary through mid-March 2026 (approximately 5 months)
Housing: Optional on-site housing available (beautiful tiny home provided for use during the four workdays)
Position Overview
A warm and professional family on the stunning Oregon Coast is seeking a bilingual (French or Spanish-speaking), active, and nurturing nanny to care for their 15-month-old daughter. This is a temporary role through mid-March 2026, with potential for ongoing opportunities through the agency.
The family recently added a beautiful modern tiny home on their wooded 10-acre property for the nanny’s use during the four working days each week, a wonderful option for those who may not live locally. Both parents work from home in demanding professional roles. A second baby is expected in January 2026, though the role will primarily focus on their toddler.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nurturing, developmentally appropriate care for a 15-month-old girl
- Plan and engage in stimulating, age-appropriate activities (reading, sensory play, walks, story time, nature exploration)
- Support daily routines including meals, naps, and playtime
- Maintain tidiness in child’s playroom, laundry, and meal areas
- Keep the guesthouse tidy and free from food waste to prevent wildlife or rodent issues
- Take the child on stroller walks through forest trails (an all-terrain stroller is provided)
- Drive to local story times, community events, or playgroups (vehicle provided)
Schedule & Environment
- 4 days per week, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday)
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Weekends off
- The family lives on a 10-acre forested property with walking trails and a friendly pair of Australian Shepherds
- Vehicle provided for work-related driving
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of recent, professional childcare experience (infant/toddler focus preferred)
- Fluent in French or Spanish
- CPR/First Aid certified (Infant/Child/Adult)
- U.S. work authorization
- Active, fit, and comfortable navigating outdoor terrain and stroller walks
- Organized, tidy, and reliable
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Comfortable in a rural/coastal environment
Additional Details
- Must have valid driver’s license (car provided for nanny use)
- Housing is optional but only available for workdays (not weekends)
