Public Relations/Digital Content Manager
Summary
The Shreveport-Bossier Convention & Tourist Bureau (SBCTB) seeks a Public Relations/ Digital Content Manager to promote Shreveport and Bossier City as a destination by way of public relations, social media management, and content collection in Caddo and Bossier Parishes.
In addition to the job-related tasks this individual should thrive handling multiple responsibilities, work cohesively within a team and be inspired to positively contribute to the overall team culture at the Bureau and Sports Commission.
Duties
Oversee and update social media outlets on a consistent basis for Visit Shreveport-Bossier, Boom or Bust Byway, and 318 Restaurant Week
Design and implement social media strategies to align with business goals
Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content, as well as communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner, promote tourist bureau events, and monitor customer reviews. Social media channels include the following platforms:
o Instagram o Facebook o LinkedIn o TikTok o Twitter o Spotify o Podcasts o Google
Manage 20x49 website, create blog content, and respond to comments.
Create content for bureau e-newsletters, publications, and other promotional assets
Manage SBFunGuide.com by way of event submissions, approvals, and promotions, as well as website updates
Organize media familiarization trips and itineraries for social media influencers and travel writers
Write and disseminate news releases locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally about things to do, eat, see, and experience in the Shreveport-Bossier area, included by not limited to festivals, events, tourism trends and more
Pitch the Shreveport-Bossier area to magazines, podcasts, and other media outlets through media relations, events, and trade shows. Provide regular follow up and interviews with media
Plan, attend and promote bureau events by way of social media, photography, videography, and logistics.
Participate in appropriate professional associations
Partner with the Sports division to assist in promoting various Sporting events occurring throughout Shreveport-Bossier
Assist with the maintenance and content that is pushed out on Bureau operated apps
Report out on progress
Communicating with supervisors and peers

Minimum Qualifications
Excellent copywriting skills
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Knowledge of online marketing channels
Analytical and multitasking skills
Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video)
Hands on experience in content management
Professional experience using social media for public relations
