    Real Estate and Infrastructure - Assistant Director 

    Our “Buy Side” Investment Firm seeks an adaptable team player to join us as an AVP, Assistant Director – Real Estate and Infrastructure Investments in our Alternative Investments Real Estate and Infrastructure division. We are seeking an individual to research and evaluate prospective assets for the Fund of Funds (FoF) portfolio.  

    Essential Duties/Function:

    • Build upon investment policy as a life insurance company to pursue mainly core type investment with stable cash yield in alignment with long-term liability.
    • Collaborate with the team and Tokyo members in the fund selection and portfolio construction process, considering their points of view, and engaging in open dialogue.
    • Participate in site visits to meet with members of each sponsor’s primary functional group, tour representative assets within the prospective fund or managed by the sponsor, as required.
    • Assess asset quality and viability; support comprehensive due diligence and liaise with legal & tax counsel to negotiate protective and preferential terms; advise investor and respond to related concerns.
    • Monitor existing investee Real Estate and Infra funds, create Quarterly Market Update Report to capture existing fund’s performance review, fund performance summaries and market overview.

    Experience/Qualifications:

    • Strong academic background including bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business/Real Estate related field.
    • 2 plus years of relevant Real Estate experience, including analytics, cash flow modeling, IRR/Profit projections, relative valuations, structuring and valuing various infrastructure investments.
    • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
    • Strong command of MS Office software, advanced Excel and financial modeling applications; proficiency with Bloomberg and related automated research tools.
    • Excellent organizational, business writing and verbal communication skills.
