    Investment Banking Associate

    Our organization is a global growth-focused investment bank, focuses on companies with market values between $50M and $5B and on transaction sizes ranging from $25M to $1 billion. The firm seeks to hire entrepreneurial, team-oriented, self-motivating and driven professionals to join our Investment Banking Department as Associates and Analysts, with immediate opportunity in its US technology group. The firm’s technology team is among the most active on Wall Street. This position will be based in New York and will coordinate with team members in Boston, San Francisco, and other locations where the team has a presence.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Key member of deal teams for M&A advisory origination and execution

    • Create pitch materials
    • Lead preparation of documentation and marketing materials
    • Oversee and coordinate due diligence and buyer/seller interaction

    Lead and support engagement teams in execution of equity and debt financing transactions, including public offerings and private placements

    Support new business development efforts, including:

    • Market mapping and sector content creation, updates
    • Identification and prioritization of potential clients, pitch development
    • Participation in marketing at appropriate industry events

    Coordinate with Equity Research, Capital Markets, Sales and Trading team members

    Foster relationships with peers and junior team members through formal project work and informal coaching and mentoring

    DESIRED EXPERIENCE SKILLS:

    • Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience as an investment banking as an Senior analyst or junior Associate, technology investment banking experience a plus
    • Excellent financial modeling, financial statement analysis, and accounting skills / knowledge
    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
    • Exceptional analytic aptitude and creativity
    • Detail-oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to work on a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously
    • Resourceful self-starter; able to work autonomously
    • Demonstrated team player
    • Candidates must be proficient in all MS Office applications - PowerPoint, Excel and Word
