    Lead Equity Swaps BA/PM

    MUST be local to New York City. This is a Hybrid position, at least 3 days in office.

    This position can be contract or permanent

    This is a senior hands-on Project Manager/Business Analyst lead for the Derivatives IT group. This is a new position that is being created to help architect and build the TRS IT platform in the firm. The candidate is expected to lead the implementation of the EQ swaps systems which will include all technology works streams for front and back office as well as build a support team around the platform to meet the needs of the business.

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Lead the implementation of the selected system both 3rd party and in house. Perform the requirement analysis. Work with traders/back-office to understand their needs and to make sure that the solution addresses the requirements.
    • Define test cases and scenarios for quality assurance.
    • Provide technical architecture guidance and oversight on the technology stack.
    • Build a support team & train/mentor the new staff around the platform.
    • Build a QA methodologies and structure around the selected platform.
    • Provide guidance and training to engineers to maintain the platform.
    • Work with multiple vendors to support the applications

    Required Qualifications:

    • In-depth knowledge of Total Return Swaps.
    • Knowledge of Front-Office Electronic Trading strategies and technical architecture.
    • Experience working with front office users and quants to gather requirements and to perform demand management.
    • Experience with a core derivatives platform. SwapOne, NuvoPrime is a plus.
    • Experience adding to a derivatives system’s functionality including working with vendors to enhance the platform.
    • Strong technical knowledge. Development background is a plus.
    • Strong architecture and design experience. Must have the ability to review, articulate & justify architecture and design decisions.
    • Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
    • Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present complex material.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.

    Nice to have Qualifications:

    • Development/Modeling experience is a plus.
