    ESG ANALYST

    ESG (including SDGs) integration is a hot topic in the equity and fixed income market, and highly important area of focus at our client. Currently, ESG is formally integrated into our equity/fixed income research and investment decision making. The successful candidate will play acritical role to enhance our framework and will influence the ESG area.

    ESSENTIALDUTIES/FUNCTION:

    • Analyze ESG factors to support development, testing, and implementation of Equity and Fixed Income investment framework.
    • Integrate the ESG framework into valuation model of Equity and Fixed Income.
    • Attend external meetings and/or conferences as a representative or a panelist of the company in the ESG
    • area. Maintain a good network of external ESG experts and market participants.
    • Evaluate the opportunity for ESG related initiatives.
    • Draft periodic presentations to Equity and Fixed Income team head.
    • Coordinate with other internal teams including Real Estate/Infrastructure, Hedge Fund/Direct Lending, and Private equity team members as needed.
    • Developand maintainan understanding of key ESG issues.
    • Support for share holder engagement, investment stewardship, or proxy voting.
    • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

    EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent work experience.
    • Atleast 3-5 years of experience in financial services, with emphasis on Equity market analysis or Fixed Income Market analysis.
    • At least 1-3 years of ESG research experience.
    • Fluency in Japanese required.
    • Strong command of MS Office software and advanced Excel; proficiency with Bloomberg and related
    • automated researchtools.
    • Detail oriented,analytical, highly organized team player with strong communication skills able to quickly identify and resolve discrepancies.
    • Ability to effectively prioritize work in a real-time environment with strong risk management and compliance awareness.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with business units and other operational groups; a flexible team player able to adapt to change. Willingness to travel,  if required
    • Comfortable in public speaking
