Responsibilities: • Handle cases from inception, through complaint filed, discovery, depositions, all the way to the conclusion of trial • Represent clients with insurance coverage and civil litigation proceedings to argue court motions and in-house claims • Plan courses of first-party action with clients by carefully analyzing their needs while providing legal counsel • Analyze insurance client needs to identify solutions, and determine strong case arguments • Preside over administrative assistant and paralegal teams responsible for setting client meetings, reviewing billing, tracking time records, and completing various insurance law projects • Create quality legal documents such as motions, briefs, pleadings, and correspondence for use in court Qualifications: • Must have a current, active Florida Bar License • Definitive decision-making, strong public speaking, and strong interpersonal communication skills are vital • The ability to work independently and meet all required job performance indicators • Please Note this is an in-person position in our Fort Lauderdale Office • Successful completion of a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and at least two years of related experience are necessary • Effectively manage the demands of a heavy caseload without the need for supervision • Needs to have some experience using legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis Compensation: $100,000 - $150,000 yearly DOE
