Our well-established law firm is looking for a tactical attorney with 2 to 3 years of experience as a first-party insurance attorney. We need a candidate with an exceptional commitment to service who can carry out all litigation phases, from case management and motion practice to mediation. Trial experience is a plus. Salary is commensurate with skill and experience and is negotiable. The compensation package includes base salary plus bonus compensation for production and performance. We are in the process of getting health and disability insurance. 8 paid holidays and 11 days of personal time off. We also pay for continuing legal education, bar dues, and some approved voluntary bar memberships. Responsibilities: Weigh all available options for successful insurance case first-party action and advise clients accordingly Identify and apply insurance case arguments that lead to the best possible outcome for clients’ needs Create quality legal documents such as motions, briefs, pleadings, and correspondence for use in court proceedings • Appear in court on behalf of insurance clients during legal proceedings to argue motions • Analyze insurance client needs to identify solutions, and determine strong case arguments • Prepare all necessary legal documents for policyholders and cases, including briefs, motions, pleadings, and correspondence • Conduct legal research, audit for coverage issues, and draft legal documents to develop and implement winning strategies for cases Qualifications: Experience using legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis required Definitive decision-making, strong public speaking, and strong interpersonal communications skills are vital Must hold a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and have at least two years of experience representing clients Ability to work independently and meet all required needs of a heavy caseload is crucial REQUIRED TECHNICAL AND CASE MANAGEMENT SKILLS: • Must have 2-3 years of litigation experience.
