Job Title: Shuttle Driver / Houseperson

Primary Purpose The Shuttle Driver / Houseperson is responsible for providing safe, timely, and professional transportation for guests to and from designated locations while ensuring the interior and exterior of the hotels remain clean, organized, and welcoming. This dual role requires a high level of hospitality, as you are often the first and last point of contact for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation & Guest Service

Safe Transit: Operate the hotel shuttle vehicle safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.

Arrival/Departure: Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage and provide a warm welcome or fond farewell.

Local Expertise: Serve as a local guide, offering recommendations for dining, attractions, and providing clear directions.

Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the shuttle’s cleanliness (interior and exterior) and perform daily inspections of fluid levels, tire pressure, and fuel.

Houseperson & Operations Support

Public Area Maintenance: Between shuttle runs, ensure the lobby, entryways, fitness center, and restrooms are spotless and stocked.

Floor Support: Assist the housekeeping team by stripping linens from guest rooms, delivering cribs or extra towels, and removing trash from hallways.

Laundry Operations: Help with folding linens or distributing clean supplies to various floors as needed.

Special Projects: Complete deep-cleaning tasks such as carpet spotting, window washing, or exterior power washing during low-occupancy periods.

Qualifications

Driving Record: Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (MVR) meeting insurance requirements.

Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to interact professionally with guests and coordinate with the Front Desk via radio.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (luggage/linens) and remain on your feet for extended periods.

Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts based on guest demand.
