The Developer’s main objective is to provide clean and optimized code for website builds. The responsibility and duties include, but are not limited to, developing WordPress and Shopify sites, contributing to the creative design process, managing website updates, implementing front-end onsite SEO recommendations, and conducting website quality control audits such as checklists, etc.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Code W3C compliant HTML and CSS
Experience with custom PHP, MySQL, jQuery, and JavaScript
Expertise in both WordPress, Shopify, and BigCommerce
Implement cross-browser compatibility
Experience in troubleshooting and implementing Technical SEO recommendations.
Optimize website page load speed, performance, and Google Core Web Vitals
Optimize landing pages for SEM
Ability to develop and maintain website projects based on completed design prototypes.
Fundamental understanding of basic UX principles and the ability to generate insight into general interaction design practices.
Operates effectively as an individual for quick turnaround of enhancements and fixes for web development or maintenance projects.
Responsible for meeting expectations and deliverables on time and within budget.
Effectively develops in a clean, well-structured, easily maintainable format.
Support the department manager in the day-to-day operations and development of the department.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Desired Education: Degree In Computer Science, IT, Web Development, Interactive Design, or a related major.
2-3 years of relevant work experience at a web development agency or similar.
Demonstrates creative, technical, and analytical skills.
Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing in both technical and business environments.
Demonstrates the ability to solve problems, and to think strategically about the entire website production lifecycle.
Knowledge of Technical SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, and Screaming Frog
Good time-management skills.
Experience with A/B testing.
