    Job Description

    One of our premier clients is seeking a Business Analyst with MiFID experience for a capital markets project. This contractor will work in close partnership with ambitious business stakeholders and technology teams on a broad range of initiatives varying in risk, size and complexity.

    Project Length: 12 months plus

    Location: Hybrid- New York, NY

    Compensation: This role will compensate between $90/HR to $100/HR depending upon years of experience, education, and relevant certifications.

    Responsibilities

    • Working with Product Owner to create/update/refine User Stories
    • Gathering and clarifying business requirements with business stakeholders
    • Using monitoring tools to manage applications and respond to business/technical alerts raised
    • Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close
    • Supports development and execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to analyze complex regulatory requirements and translate them into tangible business requirements.
    • Experience in performing rules impact assessment and documentation.
    • Strong problem-solving skills to address rule ambiguities and regulatory compliance issues.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Experience with MiFID I or II rules implementation
    • Extensive experience in gathering and documenting business requirements, field mappings and transformation rules
    • Familiarity with documenting traceability matrix from regulatory rules to business requirements
    • Good understanding of financial instruments in scope for MiFID regulation: OTC Derivatives, Exchange traded Derivatives, Repurchase agreements.
    • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in regulatory reporting and compliance documentation.
    • Ability to quickly adapt to regulatory changes and document requirements to reflect these changes.
    • Desire to continuously learn and stay updated on regulatory changes.
    • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, etc).
