FUTURES AND EQUITY TRADING DESK AND OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

Overview

Employer is a trader with a track record of trading success in equities , futures and options We are a member of the CBOT and trade extensively on CME, NYMEX, COMEX and ICE, as well as in equity markets. We are currently looking to aggressively expand our existing business lines as we continue adding onto our offerings in equities and futures.

This ideal candidate will be organized, efficient with their time, and possess excellent analytical skills. The position is located in Del Mar, CA, but the candidate needs to have the communication and self-starting skills to perform and grow within their role if they have to work remotely. This opportunity will provide a clear path to an independent trading position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Work closely with senior equity traders

· Assist with development and maintenance of quantitative trading models

· Coordinate between clearing firms and traders to resolve reconciliation issues

· Onboard new traders and groups, coordinating their setup with all departments in the company, clearing firms, and exchanges

· Work with traders to identify and back test new trading strategies

DESIRED SKILLS

· Experience within the equities/futures/options industries

· Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (any additional post graduate education is a plus)

· Balance multiple deadlines/projects in a fast-paced environment

· Identify and innovatively resolve technical issues

· Ability to communicate, organize, and lead group meetings among various employees across the company (management, ops, traders, ect)

· Must be proficient in excel, and other programing skills seen as a plus (Python, C++, C#, R, etc)

· Highly ambitious and competitive individual (past competitive sports/activities seen as a plus)
