    AS AN ASSOCIATE NAMING STRATEGIST YOU WILL

    Assist on all of our naming assignments, which includes developing names for products, services, companies, partnerships, roles, and anything else that comes up.

    EXAMPLES OF THE TYPES OF NAMING ASSIGNMENTS WE WORK ON INCLUDE:

    • Names for projects very big and very small
    • Assignments for singular product launches, M&A corporate scenarios, and startups
    • Retainer relationships where we help manage extensive portfolios
    • Strategic points of view for clients exploring specific naming issues
    • Competitive audits on existing names in the marketplace
    • Deep exploration with heavy research and occasionally quick-turn projects
    • Naming systems that solve for complex relationships between multiple offerings

    YOU'RE A GREAT FIT FOR THIS POSITION IF YOU HAVE:

    • A strong desire to create and contribute to our culture
    • Genuine creativity or interest in language: talented or interest in developing a talent at stretching, twisting, and reinventing language, and excitement about discovering how language can be leveraged in new ways to create names
    • Creative writing skills, from rhetorical expression to snappy copy
    • Creative thinking, outside the box thinking
    • Ability to make conceptual and linguistic associations
    • Ability to comprehend systems, since one product or service is invariably surrounded by others
    • Ability to think on your feet (take criticism, pivot, and return with a stronger answer)
    • Comfortable asking questions and indicating when you don't understand something
    • A knack for delivering dramatic and/or persuasive presentations
    • Comfort in fluid situations with varied clients, shifting briefs, and fast approaching deadlines
    • An open and collective approach to work and to being coached and trained
    • A bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of working experience (formal or informal)
