Responsibilities:

• Issue purchase orders to meet manufacturing needs
• Run open order reports to bring materials into the factory
• Follow Material Requirements Planning (MRP) message to advance or postpone delivery dates
• Interact with Supplier Quality, Production Planning, and engineering
• Release forecasts to support suppliers with future needs
• Independently address supply chain management challenges
• Put in place advanced logistics process for bought parts
• Work in cross-functional teams to issue Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s) to suppliers
• Work with AP to resolve supplier invoice matters

Required skills or experience:

• Hold a 4 yr Bachelor's Degree
• Show familiarity with advanced materials management processes
• Show great PC skills (MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
• Show familiarity with SAP Material Management module (MM) within a manufacturing environment
• Show great verbal and written communication skills
• Show great time management skills

Preferred skills or experience:

• At least 5 years of buying experience
• Background in medical device manufacturing is an advantage
• APICS/Institute for Supply Management (ISM) Certification is an advantage
• Masters degree in Supply Chain Management is an advantage

Salary info:

$30 - $40 / hr
