    Our growing dental office has a fantastic opportunity for a dental assistant to join our team! Our ideal candidate will have 3 years of previous experience working in a dental office and is ready to provide exemplary care for our patients. Responsibilities: Welcome patient and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during their appointment Provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patients’ teeth and gums after procedures, answer any questions they may have about dental hygiene, and schedule appointments for patient care follow up Get treatment rooms ready for examination and procedures by equipping them with necessary sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials Take and document vital signs and medical history for patient records, take x-rays of patients’ mouths, and apply a topical anesthetic for dental procedures, if necessary Assist dentists and dental hygienists during any procedures or examinations by handing off dental instruments, providing suction, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team • Chairside assisting (4-handed dentistry) • Make provisional restorations (crowns/bridges) • Take impression and digital scans • Enter chart notes and treatment recommendations during patient visits accurately and thoroughly • Take X-rays, set up and break down rooms • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment • Equip and prepare treatment rooms for examination and procedures by laying out necessary sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials Qualifications: Exceptional interpersonal skills, customer service, organization, and excellent communication skills are preferred Associate’s Degree or a certification from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required Active BLS/CPR certification is required Proficiency with computers, and experience updating patient histories, and with dental software is necessary Compensation: $18 - $20 hourly
