Job Description
Sierra7, Inc. seeking a Project Analyst with diverse IT projects both large and small to support an adaptable team providing technical, programmatic and change management support to VA mission-related functions. The candidate must have experience in creating, applying and maintaining tools to track program, project, or task performance data, including cost, schedule, and performance data. S/he must have experience in the creation of routine and ad hoc reports and must be able to provide oral and written discussion of analytical findings using narrative and graphic forms. Sierra7 is a US Small Business Administration (SBA) and Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE)-verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOSB) who provides Federal clients system and technology integration, program management, business process optimization, and enterprise solutions.
Position Responsibilities: • Able to actively support the management of all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation through closure, including project planning, contract management, project execution, and tracking and reporting • Deliver project requirements on time, within budget, with quality results that meet or exceed customer expectations • Develop project schedules and reports • Produce and deliver detailed status reports and briefings, along with periodic demonstrations of developed capability, to document and demonstrate project progress • Provide meeting planning and facilitation, including project team meetings, document reviews, and client-driven meetings (e.g., Integrated Project Team (IPTs) meetings). Prepare meeting minutes and tracking action items. • Coordinate and monitor timely and effective completion of actions • Collaborate and interface with project stakeholders, including end users, business, VA organizations, vendors, and service partners • Develop detailed schedules, estimates, and resource plans to implement solutions. • Produce and deliver detailed status reports and briefings, along with periodic demonstrations of developed capability, to document and demonstrate project progress • Follow change control procedures effectively • Coordinate and monitor timely and effective completion of actions • Coordinate development and reviews of high-quality project deliverables using appropriate templates
Required Skills and Experience: • Experience working with an auditing team • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience a plus • Experience with JIRA, SharePoint • Familiarity with 508 Standards • Experience in creating, applying and maintaining tools to track program, project, or task performance data, including cost, schedule, velocity, and other project metrics • Experience developing and reviewing project documentation, such as project management plans, business / technical requirements, and other project artifacts • Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills • Strong oral and written communication skills
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline (8 years of additional experience may be substituted for education) • 5 years of relevant experience • Scrum certification a plus • PMP or PgMP certification a plus • Experience working in VA or other Government agency [desired] • The ability to obtain a Government public trust [required]
