We are currently accepting applications for our vacant Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the Company including strategic financial planning, budgeting, accounting, risk management, and IT. This position plays a crucial role in analyzing financial data, ensuring profitability, and making informed decisions to support the Company’s continued growth and stability.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Promoting and protecting the Quiring Culture and Core Values.
- Developing and implementing strategic financial plans to ensure Quiring’s continued financial health and growth.
- Overseeing the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and regular internal financial reports for the executive leadership team.
- Overseeing Company cash flow and daily accounting processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and project-based financial reporting.
- Analyzing financial data and key performance indicators to provide actionable insights to help drive profitability and operational efficiency.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with banks, CPA firms, sureties and other financial partners.
- Leading the risk management strategy, including insurance coverage and financial risk mitigation measures for construction projects.
- Liaises with the external CPA firm to ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and coordinates tax planning strategies and compliance requirements.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining robust financial controls to support the highest financial management and reporting standards.
- Collaborating with other executives and leaders to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.
- Managing the internal Finance Team Members, providing leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Finance Team Members include accounts payable/receivable, payroll, information technology, continuous improvement, and risk management roles.
- Staying informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic factors relevant to Quiring.
- Ensuring all financial operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards, working closely with the external CPA firm.
- Actively participates and executes Quiring’s Safety Program to maintain a healthy and injury-free work environment.
- Participates in training and company meetings as appropriate to facilitate individual and company growth.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Proven experience (4 years or more) as a CFO or senior finance executive in a similar role, preferably in a similar and/or relevant industry.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. (Master’s degree in finance or related field preferred)
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with the ability to influence and drive change at the executive level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop innovative solutions.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Commitment to integrity, ethics, and professionalism in all financial matters.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- A valid California driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the Company’s vehicle insurance program
Position offers a competitive salary between $165,000 - $185,000 annually with generous employee benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, PTO, Sick Time, and 401(k) with Company match.
