Fabrication Technician – Entry Level

Sierra Peaks is hiring for a Fabrication Technician in our metal fabrication shop in Lemon Grove, California. The Technician will assist steel workers and welders, metalworking machine operators, and others in the assembly and fabrication of sheet metal products.

Job Responsibilities:

· Grind, debur, and smooth parts after cutting and welding

· Transport raw materials and finished products manually or using hoists and other devices

· Cleaning and assembly of metal products

· Sort parts and other materials

· Clean work areas and equipment

· Check products using measurement tools such as height gauge, calipers, and micrometers

· Assure conformity to GD&T, notes, etc.

· Set up and operate equipment

· Work alone and as part of a team

· Other duties as assigned

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

Must be able to pass a drug screening test

Preferred:

Experience with sheet metal manufacturing and equipment is a plus

Experience with the maritime industry is a plus
