    Job Description

    WELCOME TO SIGAN!

    Sigan America is a liquid pour contractor of health and beauty products located in Ottawa, Illinois. We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team! Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for full cycle recruitment, payroll processing (ADP WFN), benefits administration, employee training, recordkeeping, and for providing day-to-day HR services for approximately 100 employees.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform full cycle recruiting and develop workforce strategies to attract qualified candidates for manufacturing, lab and office
    • Develop and maintain HR Excel spreadsheets, organizational charting, ADP (WFN) .
    • Manage HR Dept record retention
    • Work closely with manufacturing leadership to aid in employee retention, coaching and employee development
    • Perform annual sexual harassment / safety training and maintain training logs
    • Perform job analysis and evaluations
    • Partner with TPA medical insurance brokers to help plan, implement and manage employee benefits
    • Manage statutory and voluntary employee benefit programs including worker's compensation and unemployment
    • Develop and recommend methods for continuous HR improvement in process and practices
    • Work closely with staffing firms to help coordinate production staffing needs
    • Routinely build rapport and continually promote Sigan's corporate culture and vision
    • Perform other projects as requested by Chief Financial Officers

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • B.S. in Management with concentration in Human Resource Management
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience working within a decentralized HR role across highly active cross-functional units
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in functional HR management for 75 or more employees
    • HR experience within the manufacturing industry and working with industrial management teams
    • Strong leadership and change management skills
    • Exceptional communication, time management and problem-solving skills
    • Fundamental knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws
    • Intermediate computing skills
    • Intermediate application skills - Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Calendar
    • Bi-lingual skills are highly desired
