    At Sight Machine, you will work with manufacturing leaders in the automotive, medical device, apparel, construction, and pharmaceutical industries. You will have access to, and work with massive amounts of factory floor data to help uncover insights on how customers make products and develop solutions to pressing business problems.     WHAT YOU'LL DO

    The cloud infrastructure team ensures that the Sight Machine application and its underlying infrastructure is stable and state-of-the-art in order to support the critical manufacturing activities of our clients and partners.  

    You will work with engineering, customer success, and product team members to implement DevOps principals across the business.

    YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Manage production systems and application deployments.  Design, implement, and enhance core system and network infrastructure. Design, implement, and enhance monitoring, metrics, and log aggregation systems, deployment automation tools. Provide feedback and assistance to others in the company about operational issues. Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

    This position is a Remote position working hours of EST 9 am to 6 pm.

    DESIRED TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

    • 4 years of experience supporting production Linux environments
    • 4 years of experience working with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
    • Scripting and programming experience (python preferred)
    • Experience deploying Automation, adhering to Infrastructure as Code 
    • Experience working in a environment using DevOps, Agile, or Lean methodologies
    • Experience with configuration management tools (ansible, puppet, chef, salt, cfengine) and CI/CD tools
    • Experience with Source Code Management (SCM) tools (git preferred)
    • Experience with containerization and container orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes)
    • Experience working on a data product (data warehouse, analytics platform, big data platform, etc.)
    • Experience with building "Secure by Default" systems
    • Experience with operational requirements of databases (both SQL and NoSQL) at scale, message queues (e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka), and stream processors (e.g. Flink)
    • Experience with managing complex distributed systems
    • Strong networking fundamentals
    • Drive architecture and technical decisions within the DevOps sub-team
    • Participate in the 24x7 on-call support rotation and internal support of the engineering and customer success teams
