Job Summary
Carolina Signs and Wonders is a looking to add to our existing team. We are focused in commercial and residential signage. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, positive, customer focused, organized and a strong part of our team. Must be experienced or be willing to learn many aspects of the sign fabrication.
The Sign Fabricator is responsible for constructing, assembling, and finishing custom signage using a variety of materials, tools, and fabrication techniques. This position requires a strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to follow technical drawings and specifications to produce high-quality signs that meet client expectations.

Responsibilities
Fabricate and assemble a wide range of signs including channel letters, dimensional letters, monument signs, pylon signs, and custom displays.
Operate and maintain equipment such as saws, drills, welders, routers and CNC machines.
Work with materials such as aluminum, acrylic, PVC, vinyl, LED lighting, and plastics.
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders.
Perform layout, measuring, cutting, bending, and assembly tasks with accuracy and precision.
Apply finishes, including painting, laminating, or vinyl application as needed.
Conduct quality control inspections to ensure all signs meet company and client specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Assist with installations or deliveries as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
1-3 years of experience in sign fabrication, metalworking, or a related trade preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with power tools and machinery.
Basic electrical knowledge (e.g., LED wiring) is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
Exposure to shop noise, dust, and fumes(PPE provided).
Manual dexterity for small component assembly.
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
Welding certification (MIG/TIG)
Experience with large format printing or vinyl plotting.
Forklift certification.
Knowledge of ADA and local sign codes.
