Duval Sign Solutions is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Installation Technician & Field Operations Specialist to support the installation, service, and field execution of commercial signage projects.
This role is critical to ensuring that every sign is installed safely, professionally, and in compliance with project specifications and local codes. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Sign Installation & Field Work
Install a wide variety of signage including:
ADA signage
Interior & exterior wayfinding
Vinyl graphics (windows, doors, walls)
Post & panel signs
Channel letters and dimensional letters
Cabinet signs (non-electrical and coordinated electrical installs)
Read and interpret site plans, elevations, and sign schedules
Ensure proper placement, leveling, and secure mounting of all signage
Perform site prep including measuring, layout, drilling, and anchoring
Project Execution & Field Coordination
Conduct site surveys and collect accurate measurements, photos, and notes
Coordinate with project manager, clients, and subcontractors (electricians, crane operators, etc.)
Ensure installations meet project specs, timelines, and client expectations
Identify and communicate field issues or changes proactively
Equipment & Safety
Operate tools and equipment safely (ladders, lifts, drills, etc.)
Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment
Follow all OSHA and job site safety requirements
Ensure job sites are clean and professional before departure
Quality Control
Inspect completed work to ensure high standards of craftsmanship
Verify ADA compliance, placement height, and alignment
Address punch list items and minor service corrections as needed
Qualifications
Required
1–3 years experience in signage installation, construction, or related field
Ability to read tape measures and basic construction drawings
Comfortable working with hand and power tools
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or lifts
