Job Summary
Schaefer Sign Works, located in Indianapolis IN, is seeking a Sign Installer to join our expanding team. • Experience with Printed and Vinyl Cut Graphics would be a plus but not required. • Experience in surveying, removing, installing, and servicing various sign projects. • The environment for this position is primarily in the field but will involve some in-shop work from time to time (25%). • Candidates must be able to work independently, and act as required by the duties and responsibilities given to them. • Job requires general construction and/or mechanical knowledge. • This can be a physically demanding position requiring hands on abilities and use of tools and equipment to complete the required field service assignments. The work includes both interior and exterior work during all seasons and weather conditions. • The best matched candidate would have 3+ years of experience in sign installation and service or in a transferable role with similar skills. Experience recommended but not required. • No 2 days are the same in this role, lots of variety.

Sign production
Full-time availability (40 hours/week)
Ability to lift 75 lbs.
Comfortable working from ladders or lift.
Consult / Interface with customers to ensure meeting quality and scope expectations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of manufacturing/production area.
Assist in maintaining company signage equipment.
Accurately keep track of electronic and paper records related to jobs.
Must have flexibility to lean over waist-high table and use back and forth hand motions to apply vinyl letters and graphics to substrate.
Ability to use power tools.
Learn new technologies, skills, and techniques to become a better sign making professional.
Clean driving record.
