Faith Learning School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Sign Language Teacher to join our early childhood enrichment team. This position involves leading a one-hour Sign Language lesson once per week for our Pre-K students.

Position Overview: We are looking for someone who is passionate about early learning and able to introduce American Sign Language (ASL) through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities. The ideal candidate will create a fun and interactive learning experience that helps children build early communication skills, increase language awareness, and develop respect for diverse forms of communication.

Responsibilities:

Teach a 1-hour weekly ASL class to Pre-K children

Introduce basic signs through songs, stories, movement, and hands-on activities

Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment

Collaborate with classroom teachers to reinforce signs throughout the week

Provide simple take-home practice materials as needed

Arrive prepared and maintain a consistent weekly schedule

Qualifications:

Experience working with young children (Preschool/Pre-K preferred)

Knowledge of American Sign Language

Ability to engage children through creative instruction

Reliable, friendly, and enthusiastic about early childhood education
