As a Production Specialist, you will be responsible for various tasks related to printing, laminating, sign building, and installation. Your expertise in these areas will contribute to the successful completion of high-quality signs and graphics projects for clients. The ideal candidate will possess technical proficiency, strong organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities: Printing and Production: • Operate and maintain large-format printers to produce high-quality signs and graphics according to client specifications. • Prepare and optimize artwork files for printing, ensuring accuracy, color consistency, and proper scaling. • Monitor and adjust printer settings to ensure optimal print quality and efficiency. • Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues related to printing equipment and software. Laminating and Finishing: • Handle the lamination process for printed materials, ensuring smooth, bubble-free application and consistent quality. • Apply protective coatings and finishes to enhance the durability and weather resistance of signs and graphics. • Conduct quality checks to ensure adherence to company standards and client specifications. Sign Building and Assembly: • Construct and assemble signs and displays using a variety of materials, such as aluminum, acrylic, vinyl, and wood, based on design specifications. • Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently for cutting, drilling, and shaping sign components. • Apply vinyl lettering and graphics to sign substrates, ensuring precise alignment and bubble-free application. Installation and Maintenance: • Install signs and graphics at client locations, ensuring proper positioning, alignment, and secure mounting. • Adhere to safety guidelines and best practices while working at heights or using ladders. • Install vinyl graphics and lettering to vehicles, walls, storefronts, etc. per project specifications. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational or technical training is a plus. • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the sign industry. • Proficiency in large-format printing and operation of related equipment (e.g., Plotters, solvent printers, laminators). • Strong knowledge of sign-building techniques and materials, including substrates, vinyl, adhesives, and fabrication processes. • Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Onyx RIP) and the ability to prepare artwork files for printing are a plus, but not required. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work consistently. • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to address technical issues. • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team. • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites for installation and maintenance tasks. • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
