    REPORTS TO: RISK MANAGER

    LOCATION: BURBANK, CA  or REMOTE (CA, FL, GA, NV, NY, TX, WA)

    STATUS: FULL TIME, NON-EXEMPT

    POSITION SUMMARY

    We are in search of a responsible, team-oriented, and analytical RISK ANALYST to join our Risk team!

    The Risk Analyst will be responsible for fraud prevention, risk management and investigation, and loss retention efforts. This will include outbound communication, reporting, inbound customer calls, investigation, and analysis. In addition, the Risk Analyst will preserve/enhance Signature Payments’ reputation and profitability by maintaining a high customer service and professional approach to all merchant, agent, and partner interactions.

     

    POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    · Monitor daily, monthly, and quarterly sales and chargeback volumes to identify any trends or issues

    · Investigate and communicate with merchants via telephone regarding exception activity and request additional information, as necessary, contact card issuing banks and/or cardholders regarding merchant exception activity

    · Review exception batches for suspicious activity, investigate potential fraudulent merchant activity, mitigate potential losses, collect funds owed to the company, etc.

    · Follow established policies, procedures, and training guidelines

    · Maintain queue of accounts with regular review, phone calls and miscellaneous follow-up work

    · Manage inbound chargeback response documentation and coordinate with 3rd party dispute management services

    · Assist merchant clients with questions regarding chargebacks and the dispute process

    · Perform reserve and diverted funds transfers as needed and maintain corresponding reconciliation

     

    IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE/HAVE:

    · 2+ years of experience in risk and fraud management required

    · 2+ years of experience in merchant services, payments, and/or chargeback __ management required

    · High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field preferred)

    · Strong analytical investigatory skills

    · Excellent listening, face to face, verbal, and written communication skills

    · Knowledge of payments processing platforms and card brand dispute management processes

    · Advanced knowledge of Visa/Mastercard rules/regulations

    · Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; uses time efficiently in a rapidly changing environment

    · Ability to work independently, exercise initiative and resolve complex issues with minimum guidance and good judgment

    · Effective and comprehensive computer skills, including Microsoft Office or equivalent (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and report generation

    · Must have the ability to use or adapt to new computer programs, software, equipment, and/or hardware

    · Banking or finance background preferred

     

    COMPENSATION RANGE

    Pay is commensurate with prior experience, education, and abilities.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    As a Risk Analyst, you will regularly be required to: work at a desk, conference table and work at a computer for extended periods of time. You will be frequently required to walk, sit, stand, and occasionally may be required to lift up to 10 pounds unassisted.
