    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Responsible for promoting the company’s products and services and for building relationships with new and existing accounts.   This position is also responsible for purchasing products from approved vendors.

    ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE - DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Drive new and existing client relationships in assigned area through personal prospecting, emphasizing relationship building and Montalvan’s Sales, Inc. 
    2. Responsible for achieving sales for customers assigned in specific territory.
    3. Develop market analysis to identify customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates
    4. Stay current with client needs, competition, and industry trends
    5. Properly execute necessary paperwork in a timely manner to process customer orders, promotions, introduction of new products and credit applications.
    6. Develop and manage client relationships
    7. Evaluate accounts
    8. Manage projects to make sure that they get completed in a timely manner 
    9. Responsible for assisting with sales/marketing and advertising campaigns
    10. Respond to customer inquiries and ensure that customer comments, problems, complaints and requests are resolved and/or forwarded to an appropriate individual(s).
    11. Provide merchandising assistance as needed.
    12. Proactively seek out ways to improve our sales processes and channels, relationship management, and product feedback cycles.
    13. Travel on annually basis to visit current or potential clients in the area of: Washington, Chicago, Texas, Oklahoma, San Francisco, and any other state that may be a potential state to develop a market in. (if needed)

         

     

    PURCHASING COORDINATOR - DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Routine, daily purchasing activities will require following established guidelines which will include using only approved vendors, ordering at established inventory levels and ordering pre-calculated quantities.
    2. Responsible for ordering products from the following Vendors & any other Vendor who supplies us currently or in the future with Polynesian Products.
    3. Establish and maintain effective business relationships with vendors, including addressing quality control and delivery issues
    4. Negotiate pricing and determine delivery schedule requirements
    5. Responsible for assuring on-time site delivery of all items in coordination with the Warehouse Supervisor
    6. Perform all duties and responsibilities in an ethical manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

     

    REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 21+ Years Older & Valid CA Driver's License
    • Bilingual in Tagalog  & English (Oral & Written)
    • Minimum of one year food industry sales experience or previous outside sales experience & 2 to 5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in the food industry
    • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Work Experience
    • New business to business experience preferred (B2B)
    • Sales and goal oriented
    • Excellent customer/vendor relations skills
    • Excellent communication skills are required, both written and oral
    • Professional & Self Motivated
    • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
    • All candidates must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug screen.
