POSITION : Print Lab Technician

REPORTS TO : Print Production Specialist

POSITION CLASSIFICATION : Full Time – Salary, Non-Exempt, Requires – Time Reporting, Tampa Based Position

** POSITION DESCRIPTION:** This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of a state-of-the-art wide format inkjet applications lab; used for internal testing and customer-focused samples. The individual will work closely with product marketing, sales, customer service, engineering, and manufacturing groups. The role will also be responsible for the maintenance of printers, test equipment, RIP software, and hardware.

** DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** :

• Manage the applications lab's daily workload and prioritize jobs based on feedback and direction from the partnering departments.
• Work closely with the marketing team on initiatives including tradeshows, product launches, and the creation of sales tools.
• Work closely with Product Managers during product development and product launch.
• Conduct competitive testing and report to project teams.
• Conduct benchmark evaluations for marketing and R&D evaluation of new development products.
• Provide technical support to customers.
• Produce collateral such as swatch books, printed samples, data sheets, etc.)

** ESSENTIAL SKILLS:**

• Digital Print Experience - Wide Format Print Experience (3+ years)
• Worked with aqueous, latex, solvent/eco solvents printers.
• Must be comfortable with working with end users and troubleshooting
• Must be computer literate
• Knowledge in RIP software (Onyx, EFI, Fiery, etc.)
• Comfortable using Color Management Tools
• Color Theory – Understanding of Density, Gamut, Ink Limits and Color Profiles
