    STRTP ADMINISTRATOR

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1.    Responsible for direction and implementation of all programs within the guidelines and policies of Search Light C4H STRTP.

    2.    Responsible for the organization, supervision, and delegation of work in the facility.

    3.    Assist the Executive Director in recruiting, appointment, evaluation and termination of staff.

    4.    Develop plans for orientation, training, and instructions to staff.

    5.    Reviews complaints by residents or their authorized representatives and initiates appropriate action. Responsible for overall care of clients.

    6.    Summarize the child's progress quarterly reports and determine appropriate services for meeting the needs of clients.

    7.    Reports all required incidents to various agencies concerning children in placement.

    8.    Provides input to the Executive Director on a monthly basis.

    9.    Report any change in staff criminal record to C.C.L. Develops and monitors educational program, attends Individual Education Plan (I.E.P) meetings.

    1. Evaluates case material and assists in interviewing youth referred for admission to the program

    2. Collaborates with Facility Manager on management of the physical plant and program policies and procedures.

    3. Collaborates with treatment team in making admission and discharge recommendations.

    4. Provides orientation and continuing education training for staff to equip them to meet the needs of the residents

    5. Directing and evaluating the facility within the limits of the functions and policies established by the licensee.

    6. Preparing the facility's budget and managing expenditures according to the facility's budget limitations.

    7. Organizing the work of the facility and delegating responsibilities to staff.

    8. Assessing the facility’s operations and program and reporting to the licensee and making recommendations to address identified problems.

    9. Developing a plan for the orientation, development, and training of staff

    10. Developing the written policies, procedures, and practices for continuous quality improvement.

    11. Observing and interacting with staff, children, and other individuals, as necessary, to ensure the quality of care for children and program services. Any other duties that may be necessary to manage and administer the short-term residential therapeutic program.

    12. On call response to facility, staff or client related crisis

    13. All associates, regardless of position, serve as role models for children and adolescents who are served by our agency. Therefore, each associate must at all times be emotionally stable and able to function effectively with children, adolescents and adults who may have mental or behavioral health problems. The staff must be able to demonstrate appropriate daily behavior, appropriate expression of emotions, as well as appropriate role modeling. Hostility, aggression and unnecessary or inappropriate physical actions as well as inappropriate emotional expression are not accepted.

    QUALIFICATIONS:                   

    The administrator shall meet one of the following qualifications:

    1.    Have a master's degree in a behavioral science from an accredited college or university, plus two years of employment as a social worker, in an agency serving children or in a residential congregate care program for children.  OR Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, plus at least three years administrative experience or supervisory experience over social work, direct care and/or support staff providing direct services to children in an agency or in a community care facility with a licensed capacity of six or more.

    2.    Possess a current STRTP Administrator Certificate.

    3.    Complete and pass a criminal record review and Child Abuse Center Index check in accordance with applicable law.

    4.    Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

     

    ROLES:

    ·        Receives supervision from Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director and/or Board of Directors.

    ·        Collaborates with Clinical Director (Head of Service) on treatment-related matters which affect and are affected by staff performance. 

    ·        Collaborates with medical, dental and mental health professionals, school personnel, and client social workers. 

    ·        Collaborate with community service providers to enhance programs and service offerings.

    ·        Performs special assignments as required.

    HOURS WORKED:    Minimum 20 hours per week plus on call and crisis management support

    COMPENSATION:  $20-$25/hr

    Silence Aloud, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded in 2006 and dedicated to providing housing, foster care, advocacy and support in all forms necessary for children and adolescents who are victims of abuse, whether physical, emotional, sexual or substance related. Our Search Light Center for Healing STRTP program provides 24-hour residential treatment and mental health services to abused and neglected youth with histories of trauma and severe mental health disorders.
