    JOB OVERVIEW: The Architecture and Integration team at Atlas Van Lines is looking for a dynamic and motivated candidate for the role of SENIOR DEVELOPER. As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining integration solutions in both cloud and on-prem environments. You will work with a team of other experienced developers to build high-performance enterprise-level solutions. You will have the freedom to research and recommend new tools and solutions we can apply to our software development life cycle and DevOps pipelines.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Designs and develops RESTful services and APIs.
    • Applies latest software design techniques and contributes to the technical design of new solutions.
    • Delivers quality results on time with minimal supervision.
    • Coaches and mentors team members when appropriate.
    • Facilitates business process changes to take advantage of new system capabilities and improve productivity.
    • Participates in code reviews of ongoing and existing system modules.
    • Leads, and participates in, the evaluation of new tools and methodologies for Atlas

     

    EMPLOYMENT TYPE & HOURS: This full-time position will consist of 40 hours per week. Hours fall between 8:00am and 5:00pm, M-F with occasional overtime after hours and on the weekends.

    Required Skills

    EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE

     

    • BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
    • 3-5 years of job-related experience

     

    TECHNICAL SKILLS:

     

    • Experience with Microsoft .NET programming.
    • Experience with Database Design and Data Modeling, stored procedures, triggers, functions, and developing enterprise-level applications.
    • Solid knowledge of the overall architecture style and design patterns employed by APIs including REST and JSON.
    • Solid knowledge and skills in SQL (Structured Query Language) – accessing/updating data in SQL Server databases (DB).
    • Familiarity with code versioning tools, like Git and TFVC.
    • Familiarity with establishing and maintaining DevOps release pipelines.

     

    OTHER DESIRED SKILLS:

     

    · Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, agents, partners, and vendors.

    · Fascination with learning new tools, languages, philosophies, and workflows.
