Job Description

We are seeking for an honest, motivated, and reliable part-time coordinator.  The position is 2 to 3 days per week: from Thursdays or Fridays to Saturdays.  The work is done on site in the gallery, no possibility to work remotely.  

The candidate will be responsible for:

Entering data and keeping the online art platforms up to date: Wix, Artsy, Artsper, Mailchimp.

Designing invitations, catalogues, and presentations.

Coordinating the framing, the reception and shipping of artworks locally and internationally, including packing, crating, import and export documents.

Managing the gallery inventory.

Writing presentation texts. 

Greeting visitors coming to the gallery to present the artworks and exhibitions on display. 

This position is part-time and could evolve to full time.

The work will be done in the gallery.  No possibility of working remotely.

Qualifications

The candidate should:

Be honest, reliable, and motivated.

Be tech savvy with Adobe Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, LightRoom, as well as Excel and Word. 

Have substantial experience working with Wix. 

Have an excellent written English. 

Have great customer service skills. 

Be self-disciplined as well as a team player.

Have the ability to handle quick changes and adapt with ease by finding efficient and cost effective solutions.

Have at least 2 years of experience working in a gallery. 

Have basic knowledge of the contemporary art market. 

Have good curatorial writing skills is a plus.

Be based in Los Angeles. 

Have good references from previous employers.
