DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Vice President of Finance will participate in the financial and functional decision-making processes necessary for the successful attainment of the Firm's mission. They will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and serve as a critical member of the leadership team responsible for numerous functions of the accounting and finance departments. Examples of job duties include:
- Assists with the overall financial operations of the Firm including accounting, budgetary, audits, tax and other financial planning activities within the organization; including assist in supervising a team of accountants supporting the CFO and the Family Office.
- Provides financial leadership to owners, managers, directors and officers that will create ownership of goals, and encourage active participation in decisions that impact the firm in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
- Ensures a collaborative departmental approach to long-range strategic operational planning, care and service design and development of organizational policies, which reflect the mission of the organization.
- Assist the Chief Financial Officer to ensure the firm meets necessary financial regulatory and compliance requirements and contributes financial expertise in the planning of new services that generate additional sources of profitable revenue.
- Continuously assesses, measures and improves departmental performance and demonstrates responsible management of all departmental resources.
- Demonstrates clinical/technical and managerial competency. Ensures that the professional development needs of staff are met

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years progressive financial/accounting experience in the RIA and family office service space
- Preference will be given to candidates with a CPA
- Independent working knowledge of accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger systems. Familiar with key performance indicators in the RIA space a plus
- Experience working directly with high-net-worth clients and in a Family Office
- Recent VP of Finance, Controller or similar experience highly preferred.
- Strong background in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Word, Outlook, Excel and QuickBooks.
- Superior organizational, time management, and written/oral communication skills.
- Process-driven and proactive with a natural instinct for problem solving.
