Simple Moves is looking for friendly, reliable people to join our team of local movers. You will work with a crew of local movers, starting each shift in our office before heading out to your move. You must possess great customer service skills and the ability to strive for high customer service satisfaction rates. The ideal team member will work as part of a team and appreciate systems and processes which make us efficient. Qualified candidates must have excellent customer service skills, along with a positive, can-do attitude. About us: In 2000, Simple Moves was established to help those who needed a small specialized moving company, a company that was affordable and did not have a three or four-hour minimum, or outrageous and hidden charges. Some of the requests Simple Moves received were for items to be moved from floor to floor or room to room. Others wanted to have the big furniture moved while they themselves moved the boxes and smaller things. The larger moving companies were only able to offer these smaller services for much larger fees. All of our employees are full-time Simple Moves employees, we do not use contractors. So, if you would like to wear the Simple Moves red shirt and drive in our red trucks, you need to apply. We only hire Professional, Dependable, Reliable and Experienced employees. Skills and Qualifications: - Be continually attentive and mindful of your surroundings to keep yourself and your teammates safe. - Be able to work outdoors, in all kinds of weather. - Obtain a Class E driver's license endorsement - Communication Skills - provide information and coordinate with supervisors, co-workers, and customers to carry out daily responsibilities. - Perform pre-trip safety inspections on the truck and equipment. - Be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 75 lbs unassisted. You will, on a regular basis, be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. - Must have a professional appearance, must be able to report to work on-time when scheduled. You should possess problem-solving skills, be self-motivated and able to take initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision. - Ability to safely operate vans, 16' trucks and/or 26' trucks with lift-gate and air brakes. Responsibilities: - Moving furniture, household goods, and various items as required. - Assembling and disassembling furniture. Ability to properly utilize hand tools. - Carry or dolly items from vehicle to containers - The ability to shrink wrap and blanket wrap and deliver high-value items to our residential and commercial clients. - Labeling cartons, inspecting items for defects and keeping a record of items packed. - Use special equipment such as various types of hand trucks and dollies for heavy items and navigating stairs. Team Members must be flexible to start their workday between the hours of 7a-9a and work until the move is complete. The schedule runs from Monday through Saturday. Weekly paycheck. Must pass a background check and drug screen.
